Sports for Nature are a series of competitive sporting events designed to support environmental organizations in the U.S. and abroad. Last year, its Soccer, Tennis and Golf events contributed to the Sustaining Marine Conservation through Entrepreneurship program, a cooperative effort of the CRUSA and MarViva Foundations and Amigos.

In 2010, we are teaming up to raise funds for an exciting new proposal: “Biodiversity Preservation through the Consolidation of Biological Corridors”. Over five years, this project will enhance the conservation of biodiversity in Costa Rica by building and integrating a network of protected areas and their buffer zones linked by biological corridors of a variety of uses and degrees of protection. This initiative has already received strong commitments of support from the CRUSA Foundation and Thrifty-Rent-a-Car.

In order to contribute to the success of the project, Sports for Nature is organizing a golf event. Come join us at the Premiere Golf Outing, which will take place on Monday August 30th, 2010 at Hidden Creek Country Club in Reston, VA. We look forward to seeing you!
