Partners: The MarViva Foundation

The MarViva Foundation (MarViva) is a non-governmental, nonprofit organization that works toward the conservation and sustainable use of marine and coastal resources. Working within a regional perspective, MarViva focuses on a diverse assemblage of ecosystems within five priority sites in Costa Rica, Panama, and Colombia, including Costa Rica’s Cocos Island. MarViva’s interdisciplinary approach to marine conservation includes such program areas as Science and Community, Policy Advocacy, Communication, and Control and Surveillance to ensure the protection of Central America’s often-overlooked ocean and coastal resources.
