At Amigos of Costa Rica, we are delighted to welcome new nonprofit organizations into our network. We look for nonprofits who share our commitment to public benefit, transparency, and genuine community impact—whether you’re working to protect Costa Rica’s natural resources, support education, strengthen communities, or address other needs across the country. If your organization practices responsible financial stewardship and is dedicated to making a difference, we would love to hear from you!
Requirements
Be legally registered as an Asociación or Fundación under the laws of the Republic of Costa Rica.
Maintain a bank account in the name of the organization.
Carry out activities that provide a clear public benefit.
Maintain responsible financial and accounting practices.
Commit to completing an annual report.
Align with the mission and values of Amigos of Costa Rica.
Note
Amigos does not work with organizations whose primary purpose is religious proselytizing. However, faith-based organizations providing charitable services for public benefit are welcome to apply.
How to Become an Affiliate

Talk With Our Team
Schedule a conversation with an Affiliate Coordinator to learn more about affiliation and determine whether Amigos is a good fit for your organization.

Complete the Application
Provide information about your organization, programs, governance, and fundraising goals.

Join the Network
Once approved, we’ll create your profile and provide access to available resources and support.

Start Fundraising
Connect donors to your organization through Amigos’ fundraising infrastructure and tools.

Submit Your Annual Report
Complete a yearly report detailing how funds were used and the impact achieved in order to maintain active affiliation status.
