Centro Israelita Sionista de Costa Rica is the leading institution of Costa Rica’s Jewish community, promoting religious life, education, social support, and community wellbeing. Founded in 1934, the organization manages essential religious and community services while fostering education, solidarity, and cultural identity. Through partnerships with public institutions, embassies, educational organizations, and international allies, it also promotes historical memory, raises awareness about antisemitism, and encourages dialogue and humanitarian action that contribute to a more respectful and connected society.

Current Need
Engaging the next generation is central to strengthening Jewish community life in Costa Rica. Current priorities include expanding leadership and Jewish identity programs for children and youth, increasing education on antisemitism and historical memory, and building stronger partnerships with educational institutions and organizations. Continued support will also help deepen connections between Costa Rica’s Jewish community, Israel, and Jewish communities worldwide through education, volunteering, advocacy, and collaboration.
