Programs

Wildfire Prevention

Combines environmental education, community action, and preparedness to reduce wildfire risks and support the protection of Marino Las Baulas National Park.

Wildlife & Environmental Stewardship

Supports wildlife connectivity and emergency response while engaging trained environmental inspectors and residents in local conservation.

Waste & Land Conservation

Improves local waste management while promoting community-led initiatives to acquire and protect land for long-term conservation.

Current Need

Building stronger community capacity is essential to protecting Playa Grande’s ecosystems. The Association seeks support to develop a professional wildfire prevention and response plan, equip environmental inspectors with essential tools, improve the recycling center’s collection container, and advance community-led land acquisition for conservation. Donations, citizen science participation, and volunteer support for environmental monitoring can help safeguard Playa Grande and strengthen a regenerative model of community development.

Growing Stronger Every Year
