About
AmbiciOsas is a women-led community organization based in Costa Rica’s Osa region that transforms waste into environmental and economic opportunities. Founded in 2022, the organization promotes circular economy solutions through recycling, coastal cleanup initiatives, environmental education, and sustainability consulting. By recovering valuable materials, engaging communities in responsible waste management, and creating green jobs for young people, AmbiciOsas helps reduce pollution while strengthening local resilience. Its innovative approach combines environmental action, creativity, and community participation to build a more sustainable future for coastal communities.

Current Need
A new phase of growth will allow AmbiciOsas to expand its circular economy model and increase its environmental impact across southern Costa Rica. The organization is focused on developing its Innovation Center, increasing material recovery capacity, and extending services to thousands of additional residents in Bahía Ballena and Ciudad Neily. Support will help strengthen strategic partnerships, scale recycling infrastructure, and accelerate the transformation of waste into valuable resources that generate both environmental and economic benefits for local communities.
