Asociación Protectora Animales de la Costa Brasilito Potrero is dedicated to rescuing, protecting, and improving the lives of abandoned, abused, and vulnerable animals in Costa Rica’s coastal communities. Through rescue efforts, medical care, spay and neuter campaigns, and long-term shelter support, the organization provides animals with a safe and dignified life. Its shelter offers a unique environment where rescued dogs can live freely in open spaces while receiving the care they need. The association also works to raise public awareness about responsible animal welfare and the importance of protecting animals in need.

Current Need
Providing lifelong care for vulnerable animals requires safe facilities, specialized resources, and ongoing community support. The association is focused on expanding and improving shelter spaces for dogs and cats with special needs while increasing access to medical care and rehabilitation services. Continued support will help create better living conditions for rescued animals, strengthen volunteer involvement, and raise awareness about the needs of senior and disabled animals that often have the greatest difficulty finding care and protection.
