Equipping girls with the confidence to shape their future.

About

Asociación Soy Niña supports girls and adolescents facing psychosocial vulnerability by strengthening their education, self-esteem, life skills, and opportunities. Founded in 2018, the organization combines socioeducational programs with family engagement to promote leadership, self-care, violence prevention, and informed decision-making. By providing sustained support during critical stages of development, Soy Niña works to expand opportunities, prevent school dropout, break cycles of poverty and violence, and help participants build safer, more autonomous futures.

Current Need

Deepening long-term support is key to helping more girls build safer and more independent futures. In 2026, Soy Niña aims to increase participation, strengthen its presence in current communities, and expand educational and socioemotional support for girls and adolescents. Growing its volunteer network and strategic partnerships will also be essential to ensuring program continuity and sustainability. Donations, volunteers, partnerships, and greater awareness can help extend these opportunities to more girls and their families.

Growing Stronger Every Year

We’re proud to participate in Amigos of Costa Rica’s Transparency Badge System, which evaluates organizations across three key areas: financial stewardship, governance, and community impact.

Organizations are recognized at four levels of growth: Seed, Sprout, Sapling, and Tree, helping donors better understand each organization’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
