About
The Ceiba Primary Forest Foundation is dedicated to conserving wildlife and protecting biodiversity in Costa Rica’s South Caribbean region. Through the management of the Jaguar Rescue Center, the organization provides veterinary care and rehabilitation for injured, orphaned, and displaced animals with the goal of returning them to the wild. Its conservation efforts also include preventing wildlife electrocutions through infrastructure improvements and promoting environmental stewardship through community education programs. By combining rescue, conservation, and public engagement, the Foundation helps create a safer future for wildlife and the ecosystems they depend on.

Current Need
In 2026, the Ceiba Primary Forest Foundation is expanding its capacity to respond to the growing number of wildlife admissions in Costa Rica’s South Caribbean region. Support is needed to build a new multipurpose facility, complete the renovation of the veterinary hospital, acquire critical medical equipment, and replace the organization’s rescue vehicle to reach remote areas. Contributions also help sustain scientific research and conservation programs that improve animal survival, rehabilitation, and release rates while protecting wildlife across the region.
