About
Comunidad para la Resiliencia Climática (CORCLIMA) brings people and organizations together to strengthen climate resilience across Monteverde. Since 2016, CORCLIMA has advanced locally driven solutions that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, regenerate and protect ecosystems, and respond to community needs. Guided by emissions inventories and local priorities, its work spans sustainable mobility, circular economy, regenerative agriculture, forest restoration, and climate adaptation. By sharing successful local initiatives and building collaboration, CORCLIMA aims to make Monteverde a model for climate action that can inspire other communities.

Current Need
Turning climate goals into lasting local solutions requires stronger systems and partnerships. CORCLIMA is seeking funding to develop a sustainable food production and distribution system and establish a permanent home for its Circular Economy Center. Partnerships are also needed to address transportation and solid waste challenges while advancing regenerative agriculture, sustainable mobility, and community resilience. Public participation and support for climate action can help Monteverde continue demonstrating what coordinated, community-led climate solutions can achieve.
Growing Stronger Every Year
We’re proud to participate in Amigos of Costa Rica’s Transparency Badge System, which evaluates organizations across three key areas: financial stewardship, governance, and community impact.
Organizations are recognized at four levels of growth: Seed, Sprout, Sapling, and Tree, helping donors better understand each organization’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
