Current Need
FECOP is working to strengthen its role as a leading source of scientific knowledge for the conservation and sustainable management of marine resources in Costa Rica. Current priorities include expanding research initiatives, fostering public-private partnerships, supporting coastal communities through training and responsible fishing programs, and ensuring the recreational fishing sector remains represented in public policy discussions. Continued support will help advance science-based solutions, strengthen coastal livelihoods, and promote the long-term health of Costa Rica’s marine ecosystems.
Growing Stronger Every Year
