Current Need
Strengthening independent journalism in Guanacaste requires both deeper community connections and sustainable financial support. La Voz aims to expand accessible territorial coverage, produce investigations that hold power accountable, strengthen visual and audiovisual storytelling and newsletters, and create closer relationships with the communities it serves. Growing diversified revenue, including support through the Semillas membership program, will help sustain rigorous, independent reporting that informs citizens and brings greater visibility to the issues affecting Guanacaste.
Growing Stronger Every Year
We’re proud to participate in Amigos of Costa Rica’s Transparency Badge System, which evaluates organizations across three key areas: financial stewardship, governance, and community impact.
Organizations are recognized at four levels of growth: Seed, Sprout, Sapling, and Tree, helping donors better understand each organization’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
