About

Nosara Foundation for Progress is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing development and opportunity for the people of Nosara. Guided by the principles of self-reliance, self-responsibility, entrepreneurship, and environmental sustainability, the Foundation invests in initiatives that strengthen the community and expand access to opportunities. Through projects in sports, music education, and public infrastructure, it supports spaces and services that help residents develop new skills, embrace healthy lifestyles, and contribute to Nosara’s long-term progress.

Esperanza Soccer Field Invests in accessible public space that encourages sports, recreation, and healthy lifestyles within the Esperanza community.

Current Need

Investing in education and infrastructure will help create more opportunities for Nosara’s growing community. The Foundation’s priorities include supporting enrollment and continued development of the Nosara Music School while advancing new infrastructure projects that respond to local needs. Donations, volunteers, and strategic partnerships can help strengthen these initiatives and support sustainable, community-driven progress throughout Nosara.

We’re proud to participate in Amigos of Costa Rica’s Transparency Badge System, which evaluates organizations across three key areas: financial stewardship, governance, and community impact.

Organizations are recognized at four levels of growth: Seed, Sprout, Sapling, and Tree, helping donors better understand each organization’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
