Current Need
Protecting the Ostional National Wildlife Refuge requires consistent, long-term scientific monitoring and community action. WCA is committed to maintaining weekly water quality testing across four monitoring sites, expanding nature-based wastewater treatment systems, and growing the Sustainable Nosara resource library as a public conservation tool. Reliable monthly support and volunteer participation make it possible to sustain the long-term research and community engagement that effective conservation depends on.
Growing Stronger Every Year
We’re proud to participate in Amigos of Costa Rica’s Transparency Badge System, which evaluates organizations across three key areas: financial stewardship, governance, and community impact.
Organizations are recognized at four levels of growth: Seed, Sprout, Sapling, and Tree, helping donors better understand each organization’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
