About Us

DaLuz Vivencias Equinas is a non-profit therapeutic equine center founded in 2015 that improves the quality of life of people through horses. DaLuz utilizes different tools and techniques with horses to develop life changing growth that impacts long-term daily life.

Our Programs

The center offers equine programs including Equine Therapy, Assisted Social Therapy, Mini Equitation, Vaulting and Equitation for Children and Adults with a PATH International Certified Mentor and Instructor, FEI Equitation Coach and EAGALA Equine Specialist.

10.5% of Costa Rica's total population has a disability. Of this subgroup 47,358 are children and adolescents, representing about 3.6% of the total number of children and adolescents in Costa Rica, many living in impoverished situations with few resources.

We work with a fairly broad group of children and adults offering therapies that were previously inaccessible or unavailable in Costa Rica.

Our Impact

DaLuz has impacted more than 200 students offering activities through horses, therapy and counseling to children and adults with physical, cognitive, sensorial, emotional, social and learning disabilities, traumas, addiction, and difficulties of adaptation and more.
