We are pioneers in the area of human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation in Costa Rica. Costa Rica has excellent laws, but training and motivation are desperately needed. We are making excellent progress one step at a time. There are key people in government offices that love what we do and are assisting to the best of their ability.
We employ 12 local Costa Rican nationals, and have ~30 additional Costa Rican nationals who volunteer in a wide variety of ways.
We also host college interns from universities in the United States, and have full-time volunteers who come for 1 to 3 years. We receive a large number of volunteers who experience great satisfaction while serving these victims.
Most donations go toward helping us bring restoration, healing and education to the girls in the safe houses. Other donations go to our programs that assist women living in "at risk" environments.
