If you would like to donate by wire transfer or donate stock, please email admin@amigosofcostarica.org to receive the indicated account information. We will also confirm which project you would like to support with your donation and how you would like to receive your receipt.

Fundecooperacion para el Desarrollo Sostenible (Fundecooperación for Sustainable Development), founded in 1994, is a private foundation with representation in multiple sectors working under a social and environmental approach to serve farmers or small businesses with limited access to financial resources appropriate for their context.
Currently, Fundecooperacion has set itself the goal of promoting sustainable development in Costa Rica by financing business owners and SMBs across the country and helping them create their business plans with the opportunity of improving the environment. The foundation has a Loan Program fit for MSMBs which is part of the Costa Rican Network of Microfinance Organizations. Additionally, the foundation manages and executes cooperation projects. Fundecooperacion works to meet the financial and technical assistance needs of micro, small and medium sized businesses working independently or in associations; the foundation carries out sustainable financial activities aimed at achieving sustainable and economic development of the communities and the country at large.
The work of Fundecooperacion not only has created positive impact at the national level but also recognition at the international level for the management and implementation of agreements and projects. Fundecooperacion was not only recognized as one of the best strategic alliances in South-South Cooperation ("Partnership Award") by the "UN General Assembly High-level Committee on South-South Cooperation" but also as one of the best solutions in the Climate Change category by the "UN General Assembly High-level Committee on South-South Cooperation" during the 2011 South-South Expo.
