Huertas de Nosara is a community-based response to a growing economic and ecological crisis. This project aims to build regenerative systems in a variety of different settings including small farms, home gardens, energy production sites, and larger land projects.

The mission is three-fold:

  • To create more opportunities for people to grow their own organic food, both individually and collectively.
  • To build shared resources locally that facilitate the production of organic food in Nosara (compost, infrastructure, tools, energy).
  • To revitalize the community through a system that gives members access to healthy food, work-trade opportunities, education, and gardening resources, regardless of their financial status.

With success in the achievement of this mission we expect to develop new models for a collective existence bringing us closer to a more unified and autonomous future.
