We are a charity and donation based organization with a double mission: 1) To provide and manage a TRAP-NEUTER-RETURN (TNR) Program which includes vaccination for feral cats in Nosara and its surrounding communities; 2) To support, educate, and work with locals and their animal care needs. Our flagship TNR program reduces the feral cat populations via internationally accepted standards, which in turn not only leads to a better quality of life for the cats themselves but also significantly protects the birds, reptiles and other wildlife that they must prey upon in order to survive. By incorporating vaccination into the program during the sterilization procedure, we are helping to prevent the spread of rabies in both the wild and domestic animal populations of Nosara.

The volunteer firefighters of Nosara do not receive government funding and rely on community support and donations.

Fundacion SIFAIS started in La Carpio, but thanks to the success of its educational and inclusive model, we have replicated ourselves by creating different extension centers that are dedicated to periodically expanding the constructive revolution of SIFAIS. We are a foundation financed by organizations and individuals that provides free socio-educational services through volunteers in localities marked by economic deprivation and social exclusion.

Las Pumas Rescue Center and Sanctuary

PVFFK Foundation works with children and young people at social risk in Jaco and its surroundings. Through Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Judo, Yoga, and other disciplines, they give them tools and skills for life so that they can "fight" their environment back. The accelerated growth of this tourist area has generated urban lagoons invaded by drug addiction, prostitution, and crime. A vast majority of these boys and girls experience situations of violence and vices in their families and/or in their neighborhoods or community. Their goal is to be a safe space for these boys and girls, empower them, work on their confidence, instill respect and discipline in them, promote socialization and learning, and that they enjoy their childhood.
